HEaring Loss and Place (HeLP)

Overview

Many people as they age report difficulty hearing in certain noisy environments such as in retail on  public transport even when they wear a hearing aid, leading to reluctance to go to some places, because hearing aids remain ineffective in many noisy environments. This study aims to understand the difficulties people with hearing loss experience in a variety of noisy/distracting places and how such noise affects not only hearing, but also attention, cognition and wellbeing.
