Monitoring symptoms of Parkinson’s disease to improve quality of life: Further development through co-design

Overview

Monitoring symptoms of Parkinson’s disease to improve quality of life: Further development through co-design. This project will innovate our existing prototype which quantifies movement symptoms in people with Parkinson’s disease. We plan to develop the prototype into a tool for home use by people with Parkinson’s disease, so it provides meaningful monitoring of symptoms that can be used to improve quality of life on a day-to-day and long-term basis. To achieve this, further development of the prototype through co-design with key stakeholders is required. The poster gives an illustrative overview of where the co-design process sits with respect to developments of the device to date. Also, it provides an appreciation of the unknown potential of the device, that will be unlocked by working collaboratively with the end users and beneficiaries.
