Aligned with the GOALD project, this poster presentation gives insight into an AHRC/SGSAH-funded PhD investigating the use of football-related sound archives for sports reminiscence with older people. It initially reports on the evidence-base surrounding sports reminiscence - including positive outcomes and overall limitations - before highlighting a potential area for further research. Subsequently, this poster gives background to the inception of this PhD – with reference to the project’s partnership with the Scottish Football Museum. Finally, this poster outlines the project aims and the methods that have been and will be employed to achieve them.
