Healthy Ageing and Climate Change: Building Resilient Age-Friendly Cities and Communities

Overview

Healthy Ageing in Place: Co-Designing Inclusive Climate Resilient Age-friendly Cities and Communities is a 12 month project exploring how we can build climate resilient age-friendly urban environments. The poster highlights some of the key challenges of climate change on ageing, the importance of building resilience, and the need to engage with older people as climate change champions. We identify the need for interventions which reflect (i) the heterogeneity of the older population and (ii) the diverse urban, social and cultural contexts people live. We highlight the research design approach taken including coproduction and knowledge exchange and impact, as well as anticipated outputs including policy and practice recommendations.
